Reco Plug and Play passenger lift (Extended)

The same comfort, flexibility and quick installation time as its little brother, but triple its maximum lift height. The extended version of our Reco Plug and Play passenger lift can be erected up to an incredible 65 metres on top of only 7.25 square metres of space. This allows us to position the passenger lift nearly anywhere without causing inconvenience for traffic in the area. And once its ready to use, you won’t notice the difference between our temporary lift and any regular passenger lift.

Traction lift with walk-through lift cabin: safe, quick, and comfortable

To create a temporary lift that is just as spacious and comfortable as any other lift, we’ve outfitted our Plug and Play passenger lifts with a traction drive and a wide lift cabin. Because when you want to go up 65 metres by lift, a spacious lift cabin and extra lift speed are a welcome features. Traction drive passenger lifts run more smoothly and without too much noise. The maximum payload capacity of our Plug and Play lifts is 1,000kg or 12 people.

For more flexibility our passenger lifts feature walk-through cabins. Wheelchair users or emergency services with stretchers can now easily enter from one side and exit the lift without having to turn around or go backwards. When the lift is installed the entrances at each floor are made completely threshold-free.

Plug and Play Extended: 65 metres up within a day

Our Reco Plug and Play passenger lifts have earned their name on numerous projects ever since we built the first of its kind. We designed these lifts to be built up quickly in segments of 20ft in height. This allows transport and installation to run much more swiftly, lowering costs and preventing inconvenience for traffic in the area. And in case of an emergency lift breakdown, we’re able to respond much more quickly.

To do so, the entire lift is housed in a lift shaft the size of a 20ft shipping container. If more height is required, the lift shaft is extended with another segment of 20ft. Two segments can be transported by a single lorry driver and each segment is placed in one crane flight. This allows the lift to be ready-to-go within a days work.

 

Temporary lift rental: engaged from start to finish

The Reco Plug and Play Extended passenger lifts are mostly deployed during renovation projects. Due to the height in combination with the quick setup, low costs and small footprint size at ground level, these passenger lifts are ideal for projects in busy areas such as the Imperial College University in London.

In London the university’s laboratories, lecture halls and internal passenger lifts were about to undergo major renovations. To maintain access to all floors up to the 7th floor at 23 metres, a temporary lift was necessary. But there was no other option than to position the passenger lift in front of the building. Due to its small footprint, our extended Reco Plug and Play passenger lift was able to provide a solution without creating an obstruction to traffic.
