Temporary passenger lifts and wheelchair ramp at Steenhouwersgaarde in The Hague
RECO Lift Solutions is working with RECO for SKL Aannemingsbedrijf on a project at the Steenhouwersgaarde in The Hague. In this project, a total of five apartments for elderly residents are being renovated whereby replacement lifts are a requirement. Two temporary lifts are being used each time and will be moved when these flats are completed, so that work can start on the next ones. The first set-up was installed at the end of January and the last set-up will be dismantled at the end of March.
Minimal inconvenience
The ground floor of the buildings is 1.50 metres from the pavement, and the lifts go from this floor to the other floors. The ground floor must therefore also be made passable for the residents, RECO has installed temporary ramps near the passenger lifts. These ramps have been designed to be extra 'lazy' so that the lifts are easily accessible to everyone. Thanks to the lifts and ramps, the inconvenience to residents caused by the work will be minimal.
