Pedestrian tunnel accessible thanks to temporary passenger lift at trainstation near Berlin
At the Wünsdorf-Waldstadt trainstation near Berlin in Germany, RECO Lift Solutions installed a temporary passenger lift. A new pedestrian tunnel has been built under the tracks for travellers and passers-by. In order to provide barrier-free access to the new pedestrian tunnel during construction, the railway contractor H. Klostermann Baugesellschaft mbH (HK) sought to hire a temporary passenger lift. Due to our experience in German rail and infra projects we were able to quickly provide a temporary lift installation.

Barrier-free access on two sides of the station with a temporary passenger lift
Due to the progress of construction, the current level crossing had to be temporarily closed to all traffic this month. As the new tunnel is not yet accessible on both sides of the station, HK was looking for a temporary solution. Due to our experience with stations in Germany, we were able to quickly install a suitable temporary lift.
Installation and inspection of temporary passenger lift within a week after order
Our engineers installed a temporary passenger lift within a week after agreeing the assignment with HK. The RECO Plug and Play lift has been placed in the pedestrian tunnel and anchored in the concrete. This connects the tunnel to the street again, so that travellers on both sides of the track have barrier-free access. TÜV SÜD inspected the temporary passenger lift immediately after its installation. Lift company Schmitt & Sohn supports RECO Lift Solutions with service and maintenance.
