RECO Lift Solutions deploys temporary passenger lift for renovation of Utrecht apartment building
The flat on the Sint Maartendreef in Utrecht no longer meets today's requirements. Housing corporation Portaal has received various complaints from the residents and would like to remedy these. In addition, the apartment building and the houses have to look neat, be easily accessible, safe, energy efficient and comfortable. For this reason, Portaal has drawn up a renovation plan in consultation with the residents' association and a focus group of residents. Contractor Nijhuis Bouw is carrying out the work and, together with Portaal, has selected RECO Lift Solutions to supply a temporary lift solution.
Temporary passenger lifts present effective and cost-efficient solution
For the renovation of the portico apartment building, we are supplying two GEDA temporary passenger lifts. Depending on the progress of the project, a third identical lift may be used. In the first phase of the project, the indoor lift in the porticoes is replaced and mainly used by the residents. The lifts will be converted twice, so that the entire complex will be tackled in sub-phases. As soon as the permanent indoor lift is ready, work will start on renovating the bathrooms, kitchens and the necessary installations. From then on, the temporary lift will only be used to transport building materials. The inside of the GEDA Multilift P18S will then be shielded with simple panelling. Thanks to our efficient way of working, no separate temporary lift has to be mounted for the second main phase. That saves costs for our customer, who is of course particularly pleased.
