RECO installs temporary passenger lift in London for CrossRail
At the request of CrossRail, RECO Lift Solutions recently installed a temporary RECO PP lift at the Custom House railway station in London. This station is currently being rebuilt by contracting company Laing O'Rourke until December 2015
Temporary passenger lift with a closed shaft
CrossRail has asked Laing O'Rourke to ensure that Custom House station remains accessible to train passengers during the refurbishment. Laing O'Rourke found a cost effective solution in the rental of a temporary ECO passenger lift. The advantage of a closed shaft was a key element for Laing O'Rourke to choose a RECO lift. The closed shaft ensures that the lift can be used in all weather conditions.
Barrier-free, safety and comfort
The lift cabin, similar to the cabin of a permanent lift, makes the lift user-friendly and easy to operate. Comfort is optimised by a 0.8 m/s fast traction drive. With the choice of a temporary RECO passenger lift, CrossRail is setting a new standard on the English railway market. The wishes and needs of CrossRail's passengers, such as barrier-free platform access, safety and comfort, have been met.
