Disabled Platform Lift 1.5m with staircase

To redirect pedestrians in a public area such as a train station, we offer external platform lifts and temporary staircases up to 1.5 metres. By external platform lift wheelchair users or passengers with heavy luggage, will still be able to reach the platform in time to continue their travels. And the staircase allows pedestrians to get to the platform away from any ongoing construction work. In this way we can maintain accessibility and minimise inconveniences in public transport.

Disabled platform lift with simple and accessible controls

Our disabled platform lifts are simple and accessible to anyone who requires a lift due to disabilities. At both stops and within the lift there are large, easy accessible buttons to move the lift up and down. For safety purposes, the user is required to press and hold the button down, otherwise the lift will stop automatically. All the controls are placed at hip height, perfectly accessible to wheelchair users. The lift also comes with safety features such as safety fences and non-slip surfaces, providing users with added confidence and stability.

Non-slip staircase with special handrails for the visually impaired

When you want to temporarily reroute access to a certain area, it’s important to keep in mind that all pedestrians should be able to find and use the route. Therefore we can outfit our temporary staircase with special handrails which are easily accessible to the visually impaired. The staircase is made from durable Layher scaffolding parts, with a few adaptions to make it suitable for public use. This includes non-slip surfaces and fences with extra bars for added safety.
